Ensure DLP initiatives are in alignment with global, regional, and local company standards and regulations. Configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot endpoint DLP system and client components. Engage with business and system owners to coordinate testing of new or updated endpoint rules and policies. Balance data protection requirements with the needs of the business. Daily Tasks Performed Create, test and deploy new access control rules, signatures, and then validate results via post-deployment report Evaluate risk to the company and apply this methodology to active incidents Creates and implements engineering methodologies to monitor operation of IT systems to detect suspicious activity that could indicate attempted or actual data leakage events involving Windows, Email, or mobile platforms. Advanced trouble-shooting skills Experienced design and development; cross systems technical knowledge; subject matter expertise in one or more technical areas; demonstrates knowledge of technologies beyond core focus of initial study Musts BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience. Understanding of information security subjects. Knowledge of security policies and interprets policies. Understanding of a specific security application or tool and how it works. Proven experience regarding DLP solution architecture, design, and implementation. Recognize the differences and methods to protect data at rest, data in motion and data in use. Knowledge of change control processes and how it works. Knowledge of information security principles, including risk assessment and management, and incident response. Technical proficiency with security related systems and applications, especially: Experience in developing, documenting and maintaining security procedures. Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and associated network protocols and concepts. Working technical knowledge of current systems' software, protocols and standards. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and network administration/protocols. Business Experience 5 to 7 years of combined IT and security work experience with a broad range of exposure to systems analysis, applications development, database design and administration Wants Must be able to perform hands-on support for Data Loss Prevention Program (DLP). Primary responsibilities will be to monitor, investigate, analyze both raw and normalized DLP logs, correlate connected sequences of events, detect incidents, reconstructed into timelines for analysis, identify sensitive data leakage activity. Must be able to clearly articulate ideas and solutions during incidents. Work independently and manage time effectively utilizing work and project plans to meet deadlines. Member of the Security Incident Response Team. Knowledge and administrative experience with industry-leading data loss prevention tools.
