I don't know - have you tried? I've had several email exchanges in the past relating to various European languages, so I think all the issues got flushed out for the various single byte encodings. Thinking about it, there are several functions like tolower() from ctype.h used which probably go badly wrong on multi-byte encodings. I think somebody with the time and energy needs to try it out and work through fixing the problems. It's possible, of course, that there is a fundamental assumption in the design which will make the task impossible. I really have no idea. > It is very important for East Asian people. Sure!
