Good to hear you got it working.  I only have gcc on machines these
days, so it's interesting to hear of it building with something else.

So the configure script needs to find out whether a declaration with
__inline__ compiles or not, and if not, it would have to add
-D__inline__="" or something like that to CFLAGS.

Now the bad news - I just don't have the time to develop anything any
more, unless it's something I personally need.  Sorry.  Patches accepted
though :-)
