I just built and installed this on my ancient Solaris machine (with Oracle Developer Studio 12.5 compiler) and on my ancient Ubuntu Linux 2.6.31 machines. In the case of the latter, it configured with no mods, and in the case of the latter I had to set LDFLAGS to -lnsl -lsocket -lresolv. In both cases it indexed a large amout of mail with no errors at all.
