Competitors were greeted on Saturday with rain and a 10-15 knot northerly
breeze which built throughout the day to over 20 knots by mid afternoon.
The first round robin and the first half of the second round were completed.
Umpires on the water kept the racing clean and only one protest was filed on
land and disallowed. LT Ted Huebner and his team of midshipmen did a
fantastic job keeping the course square and getting solid races in. Thanks
to Jeff Borland, Rob Overton, Rob Rowlings, Herb Larrabee, Barbara Herbig,
Jay Mills, Andrew Cole, Justin Law and Val Smith for serving as umpires.
Sunnier skies and more solid breeze are predicted for tomorrow's racing,
where the top three teams standing at the end will advance to the Team Race
Nationals.
