Races began Saturday at 10:45 in 5-6 knots of breeze from the
east. The off-shore breeze made for very interesting sailing-getting out of
phase with the breeze could mean huge loses. The right side of the course
seemed to pay off the majority of the day with large gains realized there
several times. The breeze veered to become southerly and built a bit
throughout the day but remained oscillatory and gusty. With poor weather,
including thunderstorms, predicted for Sunday, racing continued as late as
reasonable, until about 5:30 pm, finishing with A-division for the day. Ten
races had been sailed in A-division and 8 in B-division.
Sunday morning saw pouring rain and little to no breeze. The
decision was made to call the regatta. With the last two A-division scores
dropped as a result of not sailing the B-division, this gave 8 races per
division for the weekend. The winning team was Webb with 31 points, second
place OCC with 42 points, and third place Queens with 57 points.
