Congratulations go to the Naval Academy for so consistent racing throughout the week and winning the ODU Spring Open.
Saturday, March 3: With a few passing showers we had a very shifty and unstable West-Southwest breeze that peaked at 15 then dropped out at the end of the day. All races in were sailed in FJs. A special thanks goes to Coach Collins from USMMA who sailed a boat in for us after a boom mishap on one of the teams. Sunday, March 4: It seemed like winter sailing today with chilly drizzle. The race committee was seen warming their hands in the outboard exhaust water. Northeast winds at 9-12 dropped throughout the day before turning to the east and dropping out. We finished the racing with a south easterly off the golf course. Throughout the weekend, the shifty conditions provided for busy mark-set boat. And the successful sailors where those that focused on sailing for the pressure.
