Please take a moment today to verify the eligibility status of your team on the ICSA Database. You may have seen the large number of penalty emails going out regarding sailor eligibility and RP forms. Our Procedural Rules are quite clear regarding the registration requirements for sailors. If you need a refresher please visit: http://classic.collegesailing.org/archive/2009-2012_PR_And_2009_CDCR.pdfand look at pages 4-7 of the Procedural Rules, specifically Rules 12, 14 and 15. If there is something wrong with your record you should be trying to fix it before the regatta starts, not after. Here are some notes from our webmaster, David Dabney. These go out on the list at the beginning of each season but it looks like a mid season reminder would help: ICSA Sailors, Alumni, and Coaches, Registration is now available for the Spring 2012 semester. Note that if you registered for Fall 2011 and indicated eligibility, your record has automatically been updated to indicate Spring 2012 eligibility. This means most sailors will not have to make any edits to their records in order to sail this spring while only a few will have to remove Spring 2011 eligibility if they do not plan on sailing any events and want to save eligibility for the future. Sailors who have never registered with the ICSA will still need to go through the normal process and it is recommended that existing sailors search for their records to check that all contact and eligibility information is up to date.
