Saturday: Racing started promptly at 10am in challenging conditions on the East River. The combination of strong current and a light, shifty breeze made it difficult to get races off for most of the morning. In the afternoon a more stable 12-16kt breeze from the NW allowed for eight races in each division.
Sunday: Sailors were sent out at to start the day in a dying Northerly breeze and attempted race 9A which was quickly abandoned. After 2 hours spent on shore under postponement waiting for conditions to normalize, three races in each division were completed for a total of 11 races over the weekend. A big thanks go out to the Maritime sailors for running the event over the weekend, and in particular PRO Matt Schoene for taking the reins.
