There's a way to get midi yoke to run under windows 8.1.
Download the installer, then once you've found the file, hit shift+F10, then go to the properties, do a Control+tab. you'll be on a page where you can tab until you find something that says, Run this program in compatibility mode, check that box, and tab and choose windows 7. by the way, what are you useing for a VST Hoast? Can never seem to get it to work.

Oh, I found out why I can't find the download for Mapleleaf. Something is
wrong with the website to where it says maplemidi.com acount suspended when
you click the download link. I'm guessing this means the software is no
longer available. Is there any other loopback midi cable available for
free?

I've heard mention of a loopback program called Maple Leaf that works in
later versions of Windows. You'll have to dig it up, though, as I don't have
a link. I know my personal preferred option, the Sonic Foundry MIDI router,
doesn't work past XP.

Hey all on QWS! I was wondering if there was another alternative for
a midi loopback cable? Midi yoke won't install on my computer, and
LoopPort only has one port. I would like to be able to use Prodeus VX
along side various VST instruments I have, But with Loopport only
having one port, that doesn't really work. Does anybody have any
solutions?
