Yeah, this type of measure chaining isn't common among software sequencers
for some reason.
Here's what you do: Set your zoom level to a single beat, as I suggested.
Set it to an optimum beat pattern in the metronome, then build a track that
is your actual metronome, with your accented beats on the 1 of your measures
to act as a guide. You can delete this when you get finished with the
sequence, and you can set it any way you like.
