No you are not missing anything. I will try HAVE_DOS_PATHS. If that works, and there is agreement with the cygwin folks, I would like to have the build process changed gnu make so that the default build on cygwin defines HAVE_DOS_PATHS. What process would I have to follow to have that change made.
