Subject: Re: Windows binary for make with HAVE_CASE_INSENSITIVE_FS flag

I wanted to verify that the only way to get make to ignore filename =
suffix case (e.g. "JPG" vs. "jpg" vs. "Jpg") is to compile the source =
with the HAVE_CASE_INSENSITIVE_FS flag set. Is that correct?

Yes.

Is there a way to get that behavior at runtime?

No, not currently.

Is there a pre-built binary available?

No, I don't think so. But if you have a working installation of GCC,
you can build it yourself in a few seconds.

Thanks for the info.

Shouldn't HAVE_CASE_INSENSITIVE_FS be the default on a build for Windows?

Thanks
James
