Guys,

We are considering rolling out Mantis where we work, both as an issue tracker
and as a help desk solution.

Originally I wanted everyone using 1 instance of mantis to keep maintenance
issues to a minimal; but due to security/categories/versions/etc not being
inherited and also no easy way to copy work flows from one project to another I
am starting to think it would be easy if each area that can work 'as an island'
does (i.e. seperate mantis install) and we can make as much of the settings as
possible global thus making it easier to maintain.

What would be useful - if we took this road - is if we could artificially
'bump' the fault ID so that a glance could tell you what mantis instance the
fault is from? How big can the fault ID be? is it int (10)?
