One other question - what database/version are you using? Maybe something isn't 
being saved.  Are you getting any errors anywhere (screen, logs, etc.)?

There wasn't really much changed in the default config_defaults_inc.php between 
the two versions (i checked my copies).  I was hoping that maybe because you 
jumped from 1.1.1 to 1.1.7 that something was introduced that I had forgotten 
about.   
 
It seems like it should work for you as it did in 1.1.1.   I am not sure how 
else to help you.
 
Hopefully someone else will think of something.  I'll be sure and let you know 
if I think of something else.

I´m resetting it through a button in Mantis Management section...

Yep, I copied it (config_inc.php) from 1.1.1 to 1.1.7.

However I guess it should work, once the workflow was defined and kept during 
the Mantis update.
