I am teaching the Aeneid now and the way we teach it in school is
through guide questions per book. for example in Book 1 our objective
questions are as follows:
a) why was Juno angry at Aeneas and the Trojans?
b) what is aeneas' fate and why did it require that he become a
fugitive?
figurative questions:
1. why is zeus' prophecy of Aeneas' fate in Book I?
        a. what purpose does it serve
        b. does it not ruin the suspense? why or why not?
        c. what is your first impression of Aeneas?

are these the kinds of questions you need? if it is, then there's a lot
more for books 1 and 2.
