>Contemporary poets who use the Classics in their creative work would be Ann
>Carson, Susan Mitchell, especially in her most recent book, EROTIKON
>(HarperCollins, 2000), Jorie Graham, Alice Fulton, Ann Lauterbach. I can't
>think of any writers of short fiction, but they must be out there.

early collection _Eclogues_ (though the longest story, "On Some Lines of
Virgil" actually has more to do with Montaigne).
