Didn't know one could do that. Andreas, do you know if there is a reason for posting as domdocument? If there is no performance decrease or other negative effect, maybe we can send AJAX request as string in trunk and/or 1.5? I now understand why I didn't see post data while I was debugging other things in the past (thought it was a firebug bug).
