maybe sounds stupid, but it's possible to avoid loading <the_geom> info from a GML coming from a GetFeatureInfo request? now if I have a countries layer and just want to visualize the country Name I have to GET (getfeatureinfo) all the GML (including all the_geom) and then filter (XSLT). And it takes too much time. do I have to digg in AJAX (connecting to postGIS database using the coords coming from mapPane) to get only this information?
