Jason, Yes, i was trusting on right-click properties in Windows, now i took the file to Photoshop but still couldn't get a clear bit depth information, so I did this to accomplish your advice of checking file sizes: Run mapguide with ImageFormat = PNG8, and go to some part of the map, file of the tiled image: 13.4 KB, and then run mapguide with ImageFormat = PNG, and go to the same part of the map, file of the tiled image: 41.7 KB, that means PNG8 is working and Windows file information is not to be trust. Thanks a lot, Best Regards, Lucio Jason Birch wrote: Hi Lucio, How are you determining the bit depth of the images? I have found that the Windows file information dialog incorrectly identifies images as 32bit when they are actually 8bit.If you open the image in a different program (like Photoshop) or test the size of format=PNG vs FORMAT=PNG8 you should be able to confirm that 8bit rendering is actually working. Keep in mind that this only works for tiled maps. To get back 8bit images for regular maps, you will need to update the appropriate template. I have Mapguide 2.0.0.2308 over Windows. Thanks a lot, Lucio |
