Thanks Kenneth. That line was already in my code, albeit commented out. Previously I had had success with it in IE, only to try it in Firefox whereupon I'd get a PHP access violation, which would then require me to restart IIS.
Now that I think about it, this was probably because I was running the IE instance through a debugger at the time that I tried Firefox.
