Yes. Add your layer to the map as a Base layer. When you preview the layout it generates tiles in the cache for the scale range you preview. Zac's tool uses this premise to generate the tiles without manually previewing all the scale ranges yourself.

We have MapGuide serving maps using data held in Oracle spatial tables. So for example we have one table holding all the roads for the UK. What we want to do is create a set of tiles at various zoom levels for this data so that we can cease to hold the information in Oracle. At the moment MapGuide is reading the spatial data from Oracle, generating an image, and streaming it to the browser. What we want to end up with is MapGuide simply serving up static tiles. Is this any clearer? -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/Generate-map-tiles-from-Oracle-data-tp1336571p1337615.html Sent from the MapGuide Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ mapguide-users mailing list mapguide-users@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/mapguide-users _______________________________________________ mapguide-users mailing list mapguide-users@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/mapguide-users
