Ok, so perhaps the package creation stuff should be extracted into a
seperate dll,
to facilitate such applications. The current code is pretty hooked into
using windows
forms, so it is unsuitable to be used in commandline applications.
I have created a ticket for this:
http://trac.osgeo.org/mapguide/ticket/823

Creating packages may be an administrative task, but it can be a useful
way of shipping changes from test to production, etc, which could be
scripted.
Having a command-line application that creates / loads packages would be
useful.

Subject: Re: [mapguide-users] Creating Packages dynamically
Creating packages is an administrative task, so I won't expect many API
users to have a need for it.
The Maestro application has code that creates and edits packages.
The code can be found here:
http://trac.osgeo.org/mapguide/browser/trunk/Tools/Maestro/Maestro/Packa
geManager
Especially the file "PackageBuilder.cs" should be of interrest.
