At a minimum you need the shp and the dbf file. The shx and idx files are index 
files. MGOS will create whichever it needs if they are missing.

cpg files are the codepage of the language the dbf is written in.

The prj file contains the coordinate system information and should always be 
included whenever possible, otherwise the user has to manually do an override 
and get the correct coordinate system.

I don't know Shape that well, but generally, just add all of them.
