If the seller has an Ebay ID and made only one single sale and cashed the money, then it can be VERY easily tracked down. 2. eBay works with law enforcement units. 3. Email Ebay dedicated Fraud Investigations Team or call Ebay.. Give only the seller's Ebay ID and the story you think is pertinent. 4. Ebay works with FBI. Let them finish the job. 5. You can obtain personal data of a seller/buyer from Ebay. It may not be complete but enough to locate the State and maybe city. FYI for the group, the Western Association of Map Librarians have taken control of the maps stolen by James Brubaker from libraries in (mainly) Pacific Northwest. Boxes of maps were delivered to Jon Jablonski, now Head of the Map and Imagery Library at UC Santa Barbara and previously the map librarian at the University of Oregon, from the FBI. Jon and a group of WAML librarians have agreed to take on the task of returning the stolen maps to their rightful owners in as many instances as possible. I've reported my suspicions with respect to this person on two different occasions, with no follow ups. I note that he has become much bolder and is now going after non-government serials and turning up with increasing early and rare material. Its fairly clear that he's stolen over 10,000 maps from American institutional collections. Is there anyone interested in his activities?
