Dear all

Apologies for cross posting (or duplication on this list, we seem to be having
a little trouble posting!).

We are delighted to announce that booking is now open for the annual Workshop
of the Map Curators’ Group of the British Cartographic Society.

This will be held on Wednesday and Thursday 7-8 September 2011 at the Park Inn
in York, England.

Join us in the historic city of York to meet colleagues and exchange ideas. All
are welcome and you do not have to be a member of the BCS or the MCG to
attend!

This year’s topic is “How to do more with less: promoting and running a map
collection in a time of austerity”

Programme (the full timetable will be sent with your joining instructions):

Wednesday 7th September - Speakers and meeting (approx. 9am-6pm)
Andrew Janes (The National Archives, UK) : Make do and mend : signposting the

The annual Business Meeting of the Map Curators' Group will follow the speakers.

The evening will finish with an optional group meal at a local restaurant (for
those who have booked).
