Stuart:

You would want to change the location of the Temp directory in general.  You
can easily do that with NT.  "Hover" with your mouse pointer over the "My
Computer" Icon on your desktop.  Right click and click on "Properties".
Select the "Performance" Tab.  Select the "Change" button in the "Virtual
Memory" area.  You will see the location of your current Temp File. You can
either completely change it (However NT may require you to leave at least
2kb on C), or you can just add another drive or Drive/Folder it can use as a
temp area.  You can maximixe NT's performance by being sure your Temp is on
another physical drive so that the system can read and write at the same
time.
