I asked this question a while ago and the only alternative despite having
ArcInfo to convert the files in E00 format was to use ArcView to read them
and convert to shapefiles.
I haven't tried the Arcview path, and I'm not sure if it works.
cheers.

Subject: Importing Arc/Info Data into MI
Dear All,
I am looking for the best way to transfer Arc/Info vector coverages to MI.
Are there alternatives to the usage of the e00-format and the ArcLink tool?
If
so, what are the advantages of those possibilities?
Thanks in advance,
Thorsten Schad.
