Hi David,
We had the same problem here at one stage where all the MapInfo fonts changed
to black squares. I'm not really sure why it happens, but one of the causes
was not rebooting the PC after installing MapInfo. However if this isn't the
case, you can fix it by re-installing the fonts through the Windows control
panel or by just re-installing MapInfo.
