Don't forget RAM. Lots of it. You'll probably find you'll get more
bang for your buck -- especially with all the other tasks your describing --
by putting it into RAM than into a few extra Mhz CPU clock speed.
Since you're looking at the some of the fastest CPUs around, don't rule
out AMD's Athlon.
