MI Selecting Points and Polylines

Dear List,   I have two tables, one with points (some 30,000 records) and the other with polylines (some 260,000 records). They describe land-use patterns. I must to select the polylines surrounding points with a given attribute to convert them to regions (with MapLogix).   How I can select these polylines?
