I was trying to import BNA files (Boundary Named shoreline files offered by
NOAA at http://seaserver.nos.noaa.gov/projects/shoreline/shoreline.html).
File: GL80_04 for the Lake St. Clair, Detroit River and Lake Erie.
Is there an easy way of importing it to MapInfo? I used GNA files instead,
converted them to MIF files with GENA2MI2 translator, and imported them to
MapInfo table (both GNA and MIF were Lat-Long coordinates, and NAD83 datum).
It worked (to a degree), but the shoreline was shifted by some 100 m from
where they are supposed to be. Could anyone offer an advise on what could
have gone wrong and how to remedy it? Thank's a million.
