A really good book (if you can read German) is Walter Grossmann: Geodätische
Rechnungen und Abbildungen in der Landesvermessung from Verlag Konrad
Wittwer, but you will probally need to supplement it with the modern formels
and projection parameters (Snyder from US is one source). Sooner or later
you will notice, that the US formels is less accurate than the old european
(the ultimative source is Köning and Weise, also in German and the most
hardcore math I ever encontered - their formulas is correct until few cm
from the northpole, where most others are getting bad around 70 deg).

Subject: MI Converting Projections

Dear List

Can anybody recommend a good book or URL or other source that covers
converting one map projection to another.

In particular I want to convert from British National Grid ( Transverse
Mercator ) to Lat/Long and back again. However I would like to read in
detail on this subject.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

TIA

Bob
