Hi Bob,
 
1)  Make the table editable.
2)  Select the outer object, then the inner object.
3)  Select Object->Set Target.
4)  Select the inner object
5)  Select Object->Erase.  When the dialog pops up select Area Proportion.
6)  Done.

Ok, here's a "picture." It's like a doughnut. There is a region 'A' that is
a circle, but there is another region 'B' that makes up the hole in the
doughnut.  I do NOT want the area of Region B to be included in Region A, I
have seen other coverages that use this and I cannot figure out how it was
done. 
 
Another analogy would be like a slice of swiss cheese. In this analogy my
region A would be the cheese and all of my smaller regions would be the
holes. Again, the area for region A should not include the holes.
