HELLO UK LOCAL AUTHORITIES. The Local Government GIS User Group has organised in association with the I&DeA; MapInfo and ICL a one day seminar on the BS7666 - NLPG. The event is to take place at ICL's Offices in West Gorton Manchester on March 15th 2000. The venue can seat 50 maximum and therefore places will be restricted to 2 per Authority. It is intended that the morning session carried out by the I&DeA will be aimed at helping Authorities understand what the NLPG is and how we prepare for it, Create and Maintain it. As well as the implications on existing datasets which may have mixed forms of addresses. The afternoon session will have a demonstration of MapInfo's BS7666 toolbox and a demonstration of the Gazetteer Utility being developed by ICL. The cost (including Lunch) - Non members of the User Group £10 per place. Members of the User Group £5 per place.
