We're working with many companies that use the Q3
flood data. However, someone has explained that the BFE that you must meet
sometimes changes for an area. For example, if the rule in 1980 was a BFE
of 10' was required, and you built you house, then in 1990, FEMA said the
BFE in the area must be 12', you're still in compliance. Does anyone know of a
source to tell when BFE's change locally? Apparently, the pricing changes based
upon if you're above the threshold or not.
The real question is about understanding when the
BFE heights change. Some sort of historical record by county or
municipality.
Does FEMA or anyone else put such a document
out?
