There is little law enforcement for the net because the net by it's very nature spans multiple jurisdictions and thus variant rules and regulations. What is illegal in the US is not necessarily so in Canada or in Sweden or in Thailand. That being said, there are things we can do. A very good place to find information on how to fight back is http://spam.abuse.net/. I will forewarn you that it can quickly get involved and time consuming though. If you want to do something about spam, but don't feel like decoding headers and tracing upstream providers, a quick and easy action is to forward all your spam mail (with complete headers) to mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED].
