I am using MIPro 6, build 9 with Easyloader 5 and Oracle 8.1.6.
When I use Easyloader to upload my polygon region coverages, it inserts an
SDO_POINT_TYPE into each spatial geometry record.
SDO_GEOMETRY(2003, NULL, SDO_POINT_TYPE(-114, 53, NULL),
SDO_ELEM_INFO_ARRAY..........
This sometimes creates a problem with the Oracle mdsys.sdo_geom functions
for complex objects. Oracle informs me that non-point objects should always
have the SDO_POINT_TYPE set to NULL, otherwise erratic errors may occur.
Easyloader 4.3 did the same thing with the SDO_POINT_TYPE, but Oracle 8.1.5
seemed to work ok with it.
Can anyone at MapInfo explain why Easyloader creates a value for the
SDO_POINT_TYPE and what, if anything can be done as a workaround to resolve
this problem.
