Title: RE: MI Launching mapinfo without SplashScreen
If you have trouble with that command line, it may be due to it's syntax which should be placed outside the quotes in your command string:

"[your drive letter]:\[mapinfo program path\mapinfow.exe" -nosplash

If your executable file is located within a directory with a name longer than 8 characters (ie Windows default "Program Files" folder) the quotes are needed and note that you include the space between the last quote and "-nosplash"

Try...

mapinfow.exe -nosplash

Subject: MI Launching mapinfo without SplashScreen

Hi.

Time ago I heard that mapinfo can be started with several parameters, as

mapinfow.exe -helpdiag  asks mapinfo to show help context id for each dialog.

Is there a way to launch mapinfo without the initial splash screen, the one
that reads "MapInfo. The world's premier desktop mapping solution"

Is there somewhere a complete list of valid parameters?   I've tried
mapinfow.exe /?  and -?

Thanks for your reply.
