In maps that use regions with a transparent fill pattern you are advised to UNCHECK ALL of the boxes in the "Save Window As>, Advanced>" options dialog box and to select the Dither Method of Halftone in its pulldown menu. This will ensure that your fill patterns for transparent regions will not become altered in the conversion. I've only tried this on Bitmaps and Jpegs. I don't know about other file type conversions. Regards, Dennis Heaney To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] cc: (bcc: Dennis Heaney/Boca Raton/PCS PrimeCo) Subject: MI Save Window As> Advanced> I have a map in the Layout Window that I need to have reproduced into Lotus Notes. With MI 4.5 and 5.0 all I had to do was "Save Window As" Bitmap then "Import" into Lotus Notes. It was quick, easy and gave good results on transparent layers. I have discovered that MI 6.0 is much more complicated in completing this process. If I understand the User's Guide correctly, when importing maps with transparent layers you must use the Advanced options. My imported image continually shows large rectangle (much like low resolution graphics) where I have transparent layers. Instead of large rectangles I should see tiny little dots. At least that is what was produced in 4.5 & 5.0. Of course the user's guide doesn't provide good explanations on these options. Has anybody run into this problem? What was your fix? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this list, send e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put "unsubscribe MAPINFO-L" in the message body, or contact [EMAIL PROTECTED] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this list, send e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put "unsubscribe MAPINFO-L" in the message body, or contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
