The question: >One of our MapBasic applications writes different messages to the Message window. In order to print the contents of the Message window, I tried, to no avail: >PrintWin Window 1003 >How can I either print the contents of the Message window to a printer or to a file? Must be obvious. >Thanks in advance. Thanks for the suggestions: Ahmet Dabanli and Peter Doyle suggested to put the window into a layout and print; Paul Jones suggested to ouput the messages to a text file via OPEN FILE, PRINT#, and CLOSE FILE statements. Jacques Paris offered a discussion of the topic. I should have mentioned in the original posting that the contents of the Message window is sometimes a few hundred lines long (cumbersome in a layout), and that I preferred a fast, non programmatic solution. I will have to modifiy the code, for it seems to be the only way to get the whole contents. Thanks again to all respondents. _____________________________________________ Claude Lavoie, a.g.
