Your remarks are completely correct. However, I would question whether Andy
is trying to minimize our opinions.  Given the huge amount of code he has
contributed to our community, personal conversations, and his
accomplishments outside MapInfo Corporate, I would guess this original
founder has a great deal of respect for the list.

My point of contact in our largest corporate account is an Andrew Dressell
type of person.  She shares with me her frustration on trying to explain GIS
and its global impact to her anointed bottom-line leaders and has found it
more rewarding to stand at the bow fending off looming rocks than to create
a ruckus and rock the boat.
