Do you need to go through DBMS? If not try opening the access table directly
using "open table" and then create the points that way.

Subject: MI-L Making Linked Table Mappable

Hey there guys,

I have an access database which contains a table "STN_LOC" which =
contains GPS co-ordinates of my station locations. I wish to make this =
table mappable in MI. This is what I have done so far:

1) Created a DBMS link between MI and my STN_LOC table
2) I have selected "make DBMS table mappable" and selected the correct =
parameters (projection, fields, ect)
3) I closed the STN_LOC linked table
4) I attempt to create points and I get the error message "Cannot create =
map on this linked table. Use "Make table mappable", ect ect"

Hmmmm, what to do?

Any advice would be much appreciated and might even get me a raise!! :)

Cheers,

Chris

PS I am using MS Access 97 and MI 6.0
