Iain, This is probably because the workspace is trying to tell MapInfo to label something in a map window with the value contained in the field called Id in one of the tables listed in the workspace.
However, this table has probably been changed since the workspace was created. For instance, if you renamed the field from Id to Name or something like that, the workspace will no longer be able to load properly because it is trying to label with the value in the Id field which no longer exists.
