Rondolph, You need to also set you longitudes to be negative.

The point are mapped but the it is on the wrong side of the hemisphere (eastern side) and the 0 degree on the map is in the longitudinal sense, which ideally it should be the equator (Seychelles is south of the equator). A subset of the data is shown below. What I need is the lat south of equator and the longitude is west of the meridian. Any ideas.
