Andrew Canfield’s message about using ShellExecute as a way to launch some external procedures from MapBasic caught my eye and the details of the function made me realize all that can be done with it. I have documented it for MB in a new page on my site. You could find it via www.paris-pc-gis.com/mb_r/dll/dll_start.htm <http://www.paris-pc-gis.com/mb_r/dll/dll_start.htm> that gives you access to “all” (=2!!!) the dlls, or by www.paris-pc-gis.com/mb_r/dll/dll_shell_start.htm <http://www.paris-pc-gis.com/mb_r/dll/dll_shell_start.htm> where you will find that lonely function.
