Hi Tim,

It's true that MIPro generates the drop shadow object directly beneath the object, and 
that you have limited control over the
layering, only having "move top" and "move bottom", not "move upwards" and "move 
downwards" as is usually available in drawing
programs.

But the drop shadow is a seperate object that you can move independently from the 
shape that originated it. So any layering can be
achieved, although it gets rather messy with more than two objects with drop shadow to 
handle.

To my knowledge there's no programmatical control of the layering beyond what's 
available interactively. The "table" representation
of the layout is certainly not resorted according to changes layering, it remains 
sorted according to creation order. However a
layout layering helper tool should be fairly easy to implement in MB, the only 
"difficulty" will be to automatically generate an
alphanumeric id for the layout objects that makes sense to the user.
