Oliver and listers
You should add Geo-Colors to your list.
SVG is great, but for small Maps only. Performance goes down rapidly when
the size of the Map increases.
We are Beta testing a product based on Flash of Macromedia. We were skeptic
when we started the project, that Flash can produce any significant progress
over SVG, or even produces any meaningful map. But results are highly
convinced for its compactness and rapidity.
For SVG Maps have a look at
 http://www.geoflash.com/Map%20Gallery/Canada_Shape/Canada.html or
http://www.geoflash.com/Map%20Gallery/USA/usa.html
or visit the GeoFlash Map Gallery from:
http://www.geoflash.com .
You can download the Beta version of the GeoFlash Builder from the same
site, it is free.
Please note that all maps on the site are Client only. There is no Map
server.
Happy Mapping
