Sorry, I didn't test this crefully enough. Alterations made in Access are being updated but alterations from MapInfo only update when the MapInfo table is saved. This makes sense but is there a way round this or do I have to save the table each time? ....and why are the "refresh dbms" and "unlink dbms" button greyed out?
Thanks Andrew Young Durham City Council -----Original Message----- From: Young Andrew Sent: 21 February 2003 14:20 To: Mapinfo-l (E-mail) Subject: Refreshing data in Access Hello all, In my tentative first steps at linking MapInfo and Access through ODBC, I've created the link, MapCatalogue etc. and it all seems to work ok. However, when I have the table open in both Access and MapInfo, the only way I can refresh either is by closing one or the other down and re-opening. The "refresh dbms" button is always greyed out. What am I doing wrong? Andrew Young Durham City Council
