Sorry, I missed the original post. I was trying to recover from a data roadblock. I support an old application that has in excess of 2 million records in one table. Recently, the map file for that one table exceeded 2 Gig in size. I can no longer pack the table nor add new records.
So the limit is imposed by the file system and one individual file can't exceed 2 Gig. Good Luck. My solution was to quickly move to Oracle.
